We Love America ParadeFriday May 23rd, 2008The 30th annual WLAP (We Love America Parade) showing was at Central Montcalm High School Football Field on the 23rd. Casair donated time, equipment and operation of the sound system for the event. Steve Meinhardt and Mike Ruggles handled the setup and operation. Kids from Sheridan Elementary, Stanton Elementary and Upper Elementary sang; the High School Band played; soloists sang; and the guitar club played to honor our veterans. We received numerous comments on how the kids and singers could be heard this year and are pleased to be able to make a big difference. Live CMPS Broadcast a SucessThursday March 27th, 2008Casair volunteers time, expertise, equipment and data transport to Central Montcalm Public School's (CMPS) Educational Showcase. Casair's Steve Meinhardt provided the equipment, setup, configuration and operation of the complete sound system for the events shows and fed a live 320kbs stereo stream through Casair's data center and over Casair's data network to WDLP 93.1FM for a live broadcast.
CMPS Kevin Wagenmakers broadcasting class provided the live commentary, CMPS Shena Sanders English class provided the prerecorded interviews and script writing. Student and Employee Michael Ruggles Jr. assisted with equipment setup and also operated the broadcast mixer and called the shots during the event which broadcast. Casair's Andrew Holdeman provided technical assistance on-site at the radio station. Stanton Elementary's Principal Martin Combs was the floor M.C. for the events.
The event was flawless and was a terrific experience for the students. We received numerous commentary on how much better it sounded in the gym and how good the radio broadcast sounded. |
