At our 3am maintenance window we configured additional security blocks and configuration into our backbone equipment due to outside denial of service attacks that have recently caused additional latency in our system. While the attacks didn't cause an outage, they caused slowdowns in equipment. These attacks originated outside of the country. Several were from Amsterdam, in which we will work with their ISPs to track down. Our team was able to quickly stop the attacks each time utilizing our state of the art monitoring equipment. This is a part of our commitment to providing the best possible services.

Our network engineers completed a 3am equipment upgrade to our core router. This is a part of our commitment to provide the best possible service.

Casair donated equipment and time to broadcast the 2008 Sheridan Elementary Christmas Program live on Ustream.tv here. The program was recorded for later viewing also available on Ustream.tv here.
DVDs of the program are available for $5.00. You may call 989-831-8800, email email@example.com, or stop in at Casair's office in Stanton. You may also have it mailed in a DVD package for an additional $3.00. We accept all major credit cards. The money is to cover DVD supplies and any extra money goes towards additional audio equipment.

Casair has received a certificate from the Better Business Burea (BBB) stating that they have not ever recieved a complaint. Casair has been a BBB member since 2006.

We have noticed a dramatic increase in number of customer systems that are infected with viruses and are sending out spam and virus emails. In order to help prevent the spread of these messages and to keep service quality high for other customers, like many other ISPs we now are blocking outgoing email connections other than to the Casair Mail service.
If you find you can no longer send email after this change, simply change your outgoing mail server connection to use SSL or use smtp.casair.net. For more information visit our FAQ, or call customer support at 989-831-8800.
This change will not affect connections to webmail services like Yahoo! Mail, Google Gmail or Microsoft Hotmail.

Casair's holiday hours are as follows:
- Open December 24th until noon.
- Closed December 25th and December 26th.
- Open December 31st until 3PM.
- Closed January 1st and January 2nd.

The winter storm caused power outages at the Ashley, Northstar, and Victor towers today. All of these towers were running on generator power with very little down time. Casair's team was kept busy deploying generators and keeping them fueled.
