Thursday January 15th, 2009At our 3am maintenance window we configured additional security blocks and configuration into our backbone equipment due to outside denial of service attacks that have recently caused additional latency in our system. While the attacks didn't cause an outage, they caused slowdowns in equipment. These attacks originated outside of the country. Several were from Amsterdam, in which we will work with their ISPs to track down. Our team was able to quickly stop the attacks each time utilizing our state of the art monitoring equipment. This is a part of our commitment to providing the best possible services. |
