3Com NBX Communications Systems are the leading networked
telephony solutions on the market today. The NBX 100 Communications
System provides the powerful, productivity-enhancing capabilities
of large, sophisticated corporate phone systems, but without the
costs or complexity. It integrates a robust call-processing feature
set with standards-based Ethernet technology in a powerful business
telephone system. Both systems are open, standards-based platforms
that work with any existing desktop computers and servers and
with Ethernet hubs, switches, and routers.
The NBX 100 runs over the company's LAN/WAN infrastructure. Remote
users are able to have an NBX business phone in each in each of
their homes to connect them to headquarters via a Virtual Private
Network. From home, employees have access to both the company's
data and telephony services just like they are in the office.
